Robyn is a two-time Emmy award winning color stylist and scenic painter within the entertainment industry focusing on sets, props, puppets and custom art. She's also the recipient of a Gold Student Academy Award for her stop-motion animated film, "Alice's Attic" 2008, awarded by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
After receiving her BFA (Painting) from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, Robyn moved to Los Angeles where she received her MFA (Animation) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Robyn specializes in highly detailed and realistic painting skills that have been focused on the miniature world for over 15 years. She has been the Lead painter in paint departments for Emmy-award winning TV shows such as Tumble Leaf on Amazon Prime, as well as award-winning music videos and feature films. She has a variety of skill sets that could be applicable in large scale format as well, having also worked on multiple episodic live action shows; commissions for Fine art productions; and theme parks. With her extensive experience in the entertainment world, she has gained a broad knowledge base for a variety of high-level finish paint applications ranging from faux painting, set and prop painting, puppet and maquette painting, automotive painting, and spraying and airbrushing (which is her specialty). She has considerable knowledge in color theory, color matching, faux finishes, material knowledge and equipment knowledge, and is a highly dependable worker with comprehensive leadership skills to lead projects and execute high-level customer satisfaction. She is also skilled in communicating with project managers and problem solving as complications arise, and has a desire for creating distinctive pieces on rewarding projects where she can use her skills and expertise for organizational and personal growth.
