Emily Han-Young Hurd is a full-time Production Designer and Art Director for narrative and commercial film projects, as well as a Prop & Wardrobe Stylist for photography shoots. She operates under her company name Asymmetric Art Dept LLC. Other on-set roles she works are Set Decorator, Set Builder, Propmaster, Costumer/Wardrobe Stylist, and Food Stylist. She also has experience Producing and Line Producing and likes the different type of creativity those jobs entail.
With a decade of experience in the industry and a background in business, teaching, and the arts, Emily loves the collaborative and creative nature of the filmmaking process. From designing full-build sets to running department head positions on crew to creative budgeting and problem-solving to making custom pieces for signature looks and functions, she enjoys applying a wide-range of skills to the ever-changing types of jobs that come up in film and photography projects.
